Start of Winter Is Here—Time for Ginger Milk, Stewed Snow Pear, and Pumpkin Porridge 🌟 I finally visited the Cantonese dessert shop I’ve been wanting to try for so long! 🌟 Ginger Milk Pudding 🍮 Its origin was an accident—someone accidentally spilled milk into ginger juice, and the amazing flavor was born. It needs to sit for about the time it takes to flip an hourglass, and the result is so smooth it makes you gasp! 😍 The ginger has a slight spiciness that doesn’t irritate the throat and pairs perfectly with the rich milk. The texture is between pudding and custard. 🌟 Taking a sip instantly brings back memories of the neighborhood dessert shop, a comfort food for Cantonese kids. Pumpkin Cheese Ball 🎃 The milk flavor is very rich, and the cheese ball is on the sweeter side, so soft it can stretch to half your forearm. 🍼 Durian Mango Coconut Jelly 🥥 It’s cool and smooth, with a generous portion. The tropical fruit flavors make you feel like it’s summer again. But even in November in New York, when it’s 25 degrees, it feels just right! 🌴 🌟 The sweetness is not adjustable, but none of the desserts are overly sweet. #NewYork 🗽🌟
