New York · Roni Horn Solidifies ‘Light and Water’ into Memory 🧊
Recently, I saw Roni Horn’s cast glass and new paintings in SoHo and was moved by her and the delicacy of her work. Those who are sensitive to a ray of light or a specific moment will definitely appreciate the beauty of her creations. 🕐 April 4th - June 28th, Tuesday to Saturday 10am-6pm 🧊 The water sculptures, through their transparency and reflectivity, invite viewers to observe from different angles and under different lighting, experiencing varying visual effects, a kind of profound and tranquil beauty. ⬜️ In her new paintings from 2023, Horn explores the sculptural nature of drawing activity by constructing, structuring, and reconstructing images and text. 🧊In my previous article about Yves Klein, my impression of the exhibition was of an artist with a vivid, specific, and bold personality in his paintings. Roni Horn’s work, however, seems to exist at the opposite end of the spectrum—its appeal lies not in strong self-expression, but in a sensitive perception and delicate portrayal of seemingly abstract concepts, such as the relationship between time, light, and “human perception.” ⬜️Clearly, the same concept of nothingness can be expressed in vastly different ways by different artists—different observations and understandings, self-awareness and expressions all contribute to making this world more complex and rich. . #SummerBreeze #Exhibition #WeekendActivities #RomanticLife #NewYork #NewYorkLife #NewYorkExhibitions #NewYorkWeekend #NewYorkFun #NewYorkDaily #Design #DesignInspo #Art #ArtistShare #ArtDesign #MustVisitMuseums
