New York 🇺🇸 Michelin Taco Spot

🌸This place is called Oxomoco, located in Greenpoint. The whole vibe is super Mexican, with plants everywhere 🪴, reminiscent of some restaurants we visited in Mexico City. I’ll definitely be coming back here, but it’s not really a brunch spot. The tangy and spicy flavors are a bit too intense for an early morning meal. 😂 1⃣️ For starters, we had the smoked mango 🥭. It has a texture similar to sweet potato chips from back home, but not too dry. Paired with chili powder, it’s a perfect blend of sweet, sour, and spicy. Quite nice! 🎢 2⃣️ Sweet potato tlayuda ⭕️ A mix of purple sweet potato mash, crispy base, walnuts, and cheese. It’s quite unique and very Mexican—everything can be made spicy here! 😂 3⃣️ Shrimp soup Just average, nothing special. 🌊 4⃣️ Flank steak tacos These tacos are perfect for those who love spicy and greasy flavors. Loaded with chili sauce, steak, and cheese, they’re simply amazing. But they’re a bit too oily. The filling is abundant, and it would be better if customers could adjust the spiciness themselves. A bit too intense for my taste. 5⃣️ Soft-boiled egg tacos These tacos have eggs 🥚 and crispy bacon, paired with vegetables. They’re really delicious and not too greasy. Highly recommended! 🌟 🍃 #NewYork 🌇🌟
