New York 🗽 | Miomio

Finally Got My Hands on the Sake Cookies I Couldn’t Get Before Miomio 📍 61 Vandam St, New York, NY 10013 This is the dessert shop opened by the famous Hirohisa chef. On weekdays, it opens from 8 AM to 3 PM. Initially, it operated on a reservation system, purely based on speed, and it was nearly impossible to get a spot. Now that the hype has died down a bit, I managed to walk in and get the sake cookies I’ve been craving. Sake Dacquoise 💰 $5.5 The sake cookies I’ve been looking forward to the most. There’s a noticeable difference in texture when eaten at room temperature versus when chilled in the fridge. I personally recommend chilling them in the fridge before eating! The dacquoise texture is softer than a cookie but firmer than bread, with a cool, refreshing center that has just the right amount of sake flavor. 🥧 Matcha Dacquoise 💰 $6 A new flavor, the matcha is very fragrant and not bitter. Personally, I find it a bit more ordinary compared to the sake version—I still prefer the sake cookies. 🍃 Savories 💰 $7 These seem to change daily. When I visited, they had inari sushi with black rice and yuzu zest, which added a rich, refreshing texture. I loved it! 🍙 #NewYork #NYCFoodGuide #NYCDaily 🌇🌟
