New York | Zuma (1)🌟
My sister and I love Zuma in Las Vegas! 😋 One of my sister’s family members (shhh, it’s a secret 🤐) used to be the sous chef at Zuma NY and also worked at Nobu. They said Zuma’s ingredients and flavors are way better than Nobu’s. So, here we are! We booked three weeks in advance, and it was super easy to get a reservation. The ambiance is pretty nice! It’s a bit noisy, but that’s no big deal (who says Americans eat quietly?! The noise level is about the same as a dim sum place). 🍽️ This tuna tartare is amazing! It’s probably made from chutoro (medium fatty tuna). Using otoro (fatty tuna) for this would be such a waste… The caviar sushi roll is so cute! It’s tiny, and you can eat two in one bite. 🍙 There’s some snapper sashimi. My sister doesn’t like ikura (salmon roe), so I got it all! 🍣 The lobster 🦞 is pretty fresh, but it’s just okay—nothing special. The dry-aged beef is delicious! It’s definitely not wagyu at this price, but it’s incredibly tender and flavorful. The pork knuckle, corn, and beef dumplings are nothing extraordinary, but they’re quite tasty. They have a bit of a Mexican vibe. The fried eggplant 🍆 is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, similar to Chinese eggplant boxes. More tuna! This one has a Mexican twist. I love cilantro, so it’s pretty good! 😄 #NewYork #NYCExperience #NYCRestaurant 🌟
