New York 🗽 French Toast: The Real Deal (1)🥪
📍 La Parisienne Near Wall Street, this charming French spot is run by a French owner. It’s all about the food here—both the brunch and bakery items are delicious! 🥧 French Toast 💰 $21 A bit pricey, but definitely worth it! I suspect the owner is a baker by trade. The bread is soaked in milk and then baked, giving it a slightly crispy exterior that brings out the buttery aroma while keeping the inside soft. The syrup is just the right amount of sweet, never cloying. It’s still warm when it’s served, topped with fruit and almond slices. This French toast easily ranks in the top three in New York! 🥪🏆 ✖️ A shoutout to Little Collin’s French toast, which is fried and feels a bit cold when served. ✅ The one from Sunday in Brooklyn is also good, with ricotta cheese and blueberry sauce, but it’s probably not the traditional French method. Check my previous notes for more! 🥧Mediterranean Quinoa Bowl + Soft Boiled Egg 💰 $18 + $3 This Middle Eastern-inspired dish is super satisfying, especially for those with a Chinese palate! The cauliflower is curry-flavored but not too salty, served with quinoa and greens mixed with a yogurt and tahini sauce, plus a squeeze of lemon. 🥧 When you break the soft-boiled egg and mix it with the rice, it’s both nutritious and filling. 🥣 #NewYork 🗽
