New York 🍎 The Seafood Spot Where You Can Enjoy a Whole Fish Raw

📍 Oceans New York 233 Park Ave S, New York, NY 10003 Summer is the perfect season for seafood, and New York is a city that can overwhelm you with its culinary offerings. But when it comes to having an entire fish served as sashimi, I’ve only come across this at one place. Oceans New York combines the best of Japanese and Mediterranean cuisine. Their menu features both grilled octopus and a variety of sushi rolls. They opened at the end of 2019, closed for over a year during the pandemic, and now that they’re back, I couldn’t wait to return. The flavors are just as amazing as they were before. 🌟 Before the meal, they serve focaccia with butter, which my friends and I all found really delicious. I even wondered if the chef sources the bread from Eataly. 🥪 🍽 Whole Fish Sashimi 🍽 One of their signature dishes, the snapper is sliced on the side, seasoned with olive oil and lemon juice. It’s incredibly fresh, tender, and smooth. The deboned fish skeleton and head are presented alongside the sashimi. Whether or not you choose to eat the fish bones is up to you, but the freshness of the sashimi, cut and served right in front of you, is undeniable. 🍣 #NewYork #SeafoodLovers #SashimiExperience 🌆🌟
