πNew York 4 Charles: No Need for Inner Struggle (2)π
πThe 130 Club: A Meat Lover's Dream π The brioche bun is fluffy and soft,The thick, juicy steak is savory and succulent,With cheese, egg, and a secret sauce, this burger is a top-three contender for the best burger ever. However, my chef friend noted some differences from the original. πΏ French Dip $40 A baguette filled with leftover beef from the prime rib, cheese, and green pepper flakes. Dip it in the meaty broth before eating. The soft and crispy layers of the baguette create a delightful texture. The meaty juices bring out the flavor of the ground beef and help blend all the elements together. π Prime Rib - English Cut $60 Choose between English and Queen Cut. πΏ Sharing three slices of thinly sliced English Cut is more than enough for two. The slow-roasted prime rib is pink and tender, with no chewy sinew. π In my humble opinion, it's a clear win over House of Prime Rib. But I suspect the King Henry Cut might be too thick, which could explain why some parts are a bit tough to chew. Dry Aged Ribeye $110 A special dry-aged ribeye available only on the day of your visit. πΏ The exterior is crispy, while the inside is perfectly cooked, tender, and finely textured. My carnivorous partner was over the moon with the 22-ounce cut! π Sides We started with a rather ordinary Caesar salad. For sides, we shared corn, mushrooms, and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes, infused with beef flavor, were a hit. π₯ πΏ Dessert We tried cheesecake, chocolate pie, and marshmallow ice cream balls. In my opinion, none of these desserts are must-tries. They're comforting but overly sweet and best shared among a group. π° πA friend shared that the chef at The 130 Club also trained at 4 Charles. In summary, while the burger has subtle differences that are hard to pinpoint, the prime rib and French dip sandwich are almost 90% identical to the original. #NewYork ππ
