New York 5.0 riverside omakase🍣 It's hard to explain how happy it is
🍣 The second little joy of the day was popping into this omakase spot on the way—and its 5.0 rating on the map is totally well-deserved. I loved it so much, I already booked a table for our anniversary next month! 🌇 The vibe’s perfect for dates—sunlight filters through the floor-to-ceiling windows, slanting over the seats. River views with sake in hand? Happiness feels so tangible here 💞 A few dishes from the day’s menu really stuck with me. Beyond the reliably great staples like uni, sweet shrimp, and otoro, the steamed golden eye snapper in the sakizuke (appetizer) course was chef’s kiss 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 The fish was tender, cooked just right, and the broth—sweet, fresh, with a hint of chive—was the perfect finishing touch. The pan-seared beltfish with uni rice was amazing too, so fragrant. 🍵 The matcha pudding for dessert was another highlight! Rich matcha flavor, perfectly balanced between slight bitterness and sweetness—totally hit the spot for my recent matcha craving. Topped with a little pile of red beans and matcha ice cream? So good I even stole Lao Wang’s portion in the end lol. They gave us the day’s menu and a coasters as a little gift when we left—such a nice touch that made the experience feel extra special. This place feels like it’s on track for a star ⭐—I plan to eat here as much as I can before prices go up, hh. ✨ Kiwami 📍 141 Bridge Park Dr, Brooklyn, NY 11201 That’s today’s share—hope you loved it!
