New York Avoid-the-Pitfalls Guide (Part 2) 🚫🌟
Because we didn’t really want to leave a Google review, we decided to check in on Yelp to get a free soda. After I checked in, a tall waiter came over, and I asked if I could choose “Beijing Pop.” 🌟 He said it was no problem. A few minutes later, my boyfriend finished his check-in, and this time the short waiter came over. 🌸 He saw my “Beijing Pop” and said in surprise, “The free soda doesn’t include ‘Beijing Pop’ because it costs $4, while regular sodas are only $2.” In the end, my boyfriend got a Coke. 🥤 When we got our food, to be honest, it looked good in the photos, but the taste was not up to par. Their corn was bland, with no flavor other than the seasoning. 🎢 The chicken wings were the worst, like zombie meat that had been frozen for ten years—nowhere near as good as the buffet at Funny BBQ in Chinatown. The crayfish and mussels were also not fresh. The lamb and beef skewers were just average. 🍗 🌟When it came time to pay, a female waiter came over and asked if we wanted to leave a good review, saying that if both of us left comments, we could get a $10 discount. 🏙️I told her the previous waiter said it was per person, and she frowned, asking which waiter we were talking about. Honestly, it wasn’t worth it. We weren’t planning to leave a fake good review anyway. After eating, we didn’t feel too well, and the overall service felt really disorganized. The so-called discount offer was just a gimmick. 😕 🍃 So, where did those over 1000 good reviews come from? #NewYork #NewYorkFood #NewYorkFlushing 🗽🌟
