New York Bar | Overstory 🌟

🌆Overstory has been soaring up the ranks in the World's 50 Best Bars list these past couple of years! It's so popular that getting a seat is quite a challenge. I went solo and walked in without a reservation, waiting for about half an hour. Luckily, I didn't have to stand and was able to sit right at the bar. 🍸 🌟 I ordered the "In the Clouds," expecting to taste the Earl Grey and clarified milk, but those flavors were pretty much overshadowed. Instead, it was quite fruity and very sweet. 🌆The "Maiz" looked beautiful, but the mezcal was too overpowering, and it also leaned towards the sweet side. The "Bigbang" was essentially an umami gin and tonic. Among all the drinks, the "Bocano" was my favorite of the night. 🍹 Next to me, there was a Brazilian guy who was on a mission to try every drink on the menu. He was raving about his first two cocktails: "The Last Frontier" and "Manhattan Deluxe." It made me really curious to try them! 🥤 🌟 Overall, the experience felt a lot like its sister bar, Saga—more about the looks than the actual taste. And seriously, why the stairs?
