New York Bar Exploration: Disappointments and Delights 🍸
As a drink enthusiast visiting New York, how could I miss out on some of the world-famous bars? This time in New York, I visited three highly renowned bars. Some were disappointing, while others truly lived up to their reputation. These reviews are purely based on my personal experience and do not necessarily reflect the general public’s opinion. 🌊 Katana Kitten: Disappointment‼️. To this day, I still can’t understand how this bar has managed to stay in the world’s top 50, even top 20, for years. Neither the food nor the drinks impressed me. The sandos, whether pork or chicken, were just okay. 🎢 The bread was so dry it felt a bit choking. I ordered almond sour and melon-lime soda, but the drinks lacked innovation and didn’t taste particularly good. They were the kind of drinks I could easily make at home. 🍃 Angel’s Share Pop-up: Delight‼️ This Japanese bar, once very popular among New York’s Asian community, opened a pop-up in a hotel’s first-floor restaurant. The decor of both the restaurant and the bar itself was very elegant and upscale. I ordered four drinks, and none were disappointing. 🌸 The most impressive was the flirtibird, recommended by many online. The use of umeboshi salt was perfect—neither too salty nor too sour, and it complemented the yuzu flavor in the drink beautifully. Very satisfied! 🥂 🏙️ #NewYork 🌆
