New York Bar Hopping | The Mysterious The Campbell at Grand Central šŸ•¶

šŸ“ Grand Central Terminal šŸ’° $20+/per drink (before tax) āš ļø ID check required If it weren’t for a friend’s recommendation, I would have never noticed The Campbell, this hidden gem tucked away inside Grand Central Terminal. Perhaps it’s precisely because of its discreet location that not many people write about it online. šŸø To find it, it’s best to enter the main hall of Grand Central. Look around and spot the sign for ā€œCampbell Apartment.ā€ Head in that direction, exit the terminal, turn left, and you’ll see a somewhat quiet entrance. Go in and turn right, and there you have it—The Campbell. 🌸 If you’re lost, the staff at the open bar in Campbell Apartment are usually happy to point you in the right direction. The drinks at The Campbell tend to be on the heavier side, perhaps influenced by its location in the heart of Manhattan, surrounded by massive office buildings. šŸø The clientele is mostly male office workers, so the drinks cater to a ā€œclassicā€ taste— even the ā€œPeach Blossomā€ is whiskey-based (a gin base might have been more consistent with the name). 🌸There are a few lighter, more refreshing options, though. I remember a clear-colored drink from the picture, but it’s been so long that I’ve forgotten its name. Overall, it’s an average experience. It’s a decent spot if you’re in the area and craving a drink. The ambiance is nice, but I personally prefer lighter, fruitier cocktails, so I don’t usually go back. If I’m in the East Village, I’ll head to Death & Co. – my forever happy place! 🄃 šŸø Reservations are easy to make, and it gets pretty lively with office workers after 8 or 9 PM on weekdays. The Campbell has two floors, with the second floor being quieter and having fewer seats. 🌸 #NewYork #NYCAdventures #NYCBars šŸŒ‡šŸø
