The barbecue powder on top is the soul of the dish—spicy and flavorful, just the right level of heat for those who love a bit of spice. The lamb skewers, while not as tender as the chicken, have a richer meaty flavor and are very satisfying. If you prefer a chewier texture, the lamb is a great choice. 🍖 🥟 Handmade Dumplings We went with the beef filling, which was very fresh. The northerner was pleased with the handmade dumpling wrappers. 🥟 🐔 Sesame Chicken & Salt and Pepper Shrimp, a pleasant surprise The northerner usually avoids this type of American-Chinese dish, but the southerner wanted to try their new offerings. The sesame chicken scored a perfect 💯! The batter is crispy, the chicken is tender, and the seasoning is just right. The salt and pepper shrimp were a bit salty for the northerner’s lighter palate, but the southerner loved them, especially with the large and generous portions of shrimp. 🍤 This place has once again topped the southerner’s list of the best Lanzhou noodles in New York.
