New York Central Park's New Public Pool Guide for This Summer (2)πββοΈ
Tips and Essentials for Visiting the Pool π π Tips: It's best to come during the first session in the morning when it's less crowded. The downside is that you can only stay for one time slot, and the pool will be cleared at the end of each session. β³ π¦ What to Bring? Make sure to bring a sturdy combination lock π! The pool has lockers, and with your belongings securely locked up, you can swim without worrying about your phone or wallet. π π« What NOT to Bring? β οΈ The following items are prohibited: β’ Food π± β’ Glass bottles πΎ β’ Electronics π± β’ Newspapers or loose magazines π° These items can create trash, attract ants, or get damaged by water. As a precaution, it's also best not to bring valuable items like credit cards or jewelry. π πββοΈ What to Wear? You must wear a swimsuit to enter! If men's swim trunks don't look like swimwear, staff may check for liners. To protect from the sun, you can wear a white shirt or hat, but remember: no colored clothes are allowed by the pool! π β¨ Free sunscreen is provided on-site, and it's available at all public pools in the five boroughs of New York. π πΆ Tips for Bringing Kids: β’ Kids can wear waterproof swim diapers. β’ No floaties or inflatable rings are allowed. For safety, stay in the shallow end until your child learns to swim, and then venture into the deep end. πββοΈ β’ Want to learn swimming? Free swimming lessons are also available here! πββοΈ Strollers are allowed, but staff won't keep an eye on them for you, so remember to keep them safe. πΊ #NewYorkLife #NewYorkSummer #CentralParkSummer ππΏπ
