New York Cesar | Former Cheftable Chef๐จโ๐ณ
๐ฟ๐Cesar is a restaurant opened by the former Cheftable chef, named after himself! Overall recommendation rating: ๐๐๐๐๐ Upon entering, the decor is very impressive. The space is spacious with plenty of seating. However, as the night progressed and the place filled up, it got quite noisy. ๐ Service: I had heard some not-so-great reviews from friends who visited right after the opening, but it seems the restaurant has made some timely adjustments based on feedback. ๐ฟ๐ The dishes arrived very quicklyโso quickly that the guy next to me ordering the wine pairing couldn't keep up with the pace of the dishes! I'd suggest skipping the wine pairing and just getting a glass of white wine, which pairs perfectly with the seafood dishes. The table was wiped promptly, but not very wellโit was still a bit dirty. The tableware wasn't placed neatly, which is a bit of a pet peeve for me. I had to straighten them out quietly. ๐ฌ ๐ฟ๐ Food: Overall, it was delicious. We were served a refreshing vegetable and fruit juice as an appetizer. The first few dishes had a light and fragrant flavor. The tuna tartare, uni toast, and caviar sea crab were simply amazing!! I could eat a billion more portions. ๐ For the tempura dish, which featured a fried fish (I forgot the name), I really suggest providing utensils. ๐ฟ๐I understand if I don't need them, but not having a choice and risking burning my hands is not ideal. ๐ The main course, quail, was a bit of a mixed bag. The mushrooms were good, but the quail itself was just okay. #NewYork ๐๐
