New York Chinatown's Best American-Style Cantonese Cuisine 🍜
A Cantonese restaurant that has been open since 1968, it’s super popular with foreigners. When we went at 6 p.m., there were only two tables of pure Chinese patrons in the entire place (including mine). 🌟 I was bracing for another mediocre “white person’s Chinese food” experience, but surprisingly, it was pretty tasty! 🍲 Stir-Fried Crab with Sauce: Really delicious, though the quality of the crab is pretty average. You get what you pay for, so don’t expect too much. The seasoning is great for rice—serving the rice in the crab shell with the thickened sauce and scrambled eggs mixed with minced meat is really satisfying. 🦀 🌟 Fried Bones with Chili Salt: I didn’t pay much attention to the meat, but the chili peppers were really good and spicy enough! 🌶️ Scallion Oil Chicken: The chicken thigh meat was tender and delicious, but other parts were a bit underwhelming. 🍖 🌟Hop Kee Restaurant 📍 21 Mott St, New York, NY 10013 #NewYorkFoodieSpot #NewYorkFoodGuide 🌆🌟
