New York City | Full Participation - DIY Your Own Perfume

🌟 Olfactory NYC 🟦On a weekend downtown with my gal pals, we experienced DIY perfume making. Although I have many bottles of perfume, this was my first time participating in the process of choosing different components. This store also has other locations around the city. 🟦The process is roughly as follows: First, you choose a “base” from 9 options (if I remember correctly) + 3 seasonal scents. Then, the lovely staff member asks what types of scents you prefer. For example, I like floral and woody notes but not too sweet. She then combines your chosen “base” with several other scents, creating about 7 unique blends for you to choose from. You select 2-4 of your favorites, which are then sprayed on your hand for the final decision. 🟦After choosing the final combination, you can select the label color, cap color, and name your perfume. The name can't exceed 9 letters. I wrote “Charleston” because the magnolia scent reminded me of that garden, but it had 10 letters, so I manually wrote “N.” 🟦The overall experience was really fun! The scent turned out great since it was tailored to my preferences. The longevity of the fragrance is average, probably because it’s not too strong. The total cost was close to $100. If you haven’t tried it, I highly recommend giving it a go! I’ve already been using mine this week. #NYCLife #NYCWeekend #NYCWeekendPlans #DIYPerfume #NYCExploration #NYCDaily #NYCActivities #Manhattan
