New York Dining Adventure: Casa Enrique vs. Street Tacos 🌮

I recently visited the one-Michelin-starred Mexican restaurant Casa Enrique with a friend. 🌟 🍖 The surroundings are quite pleasant, giving off a cozy neighborhood vibe, which is somewhat rare in LIC, New York. 🌿 🌿When it comes to the food, I personally still prefer Mexican street food. I think Mexican culinary culture is really similar to Chinese cuisine—fine dining can never quite capture that authentic, down-to-earth flavor. Tacos, like barbecues, are just better from the street vendors. 🍖 The non-taco appetizers were even more underwhelming. We ordered a lamb shank, which was a bit too salty and had rather monotonous seasoning. 🍖 🌟 Overall, unless you’re in the area, there’s no real need to make a special trip here. #NewYork #NYCFood 🌆
