New York Dining Adventure: ICHIRAN Ramen NY Times Square ๐Ÿœ

I visited the ICHIRAN Ramen in Times Square around 4 PM. The wait was only about 15 minutes, which was pretty manageable! ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ ๐ŸŒธ The seating arrangement is super unique. Each customer sits at their own small table with a partition in the middle. The tables are semi-enclosed, and when you order, you canโ€™t see the staffโ€”only hear their voices. It feels really novel! If you have any questions, just press the little bell on the table, and the staff will pull back the curtain to chat with you. The staff even bow at a 90-degree angle when serving the food, and they speak Japanese throughout the service. Overall, the experience is fantastic! ๐ŸŒŸ ๐Ÿƒ The entire restaurant offers just one type of ramen: the tonkotsu ramen. You can choose the classic version for $18.95 or go for the set meal at $24. The classic includes just the noodles, two slices of chashu (pork belly), green onions, and broth. The set meal adds a soft-boiled egg, wood ear mushrooms, nori (seaweed), and two extra slices of chashu. I went for the set meal, which felt like a better deal. ๐Ÿœ You can customize the soup thickness, spiciness, and noodle firmness to your liking. One set meal is super filling for one person. The broth is incredibly rich and flavorful. After finishing the noodles, if you drink all the soup, youโ€™ll see a row of Japanese text at the bottom of the bowl. ๐ŸŽข I hope someone who knows Japanese can help me translate it! I also added extra chashu and rice. The soup-soaked rice is absolutely amazing! ๐Ÿš The matcha pudding is incredibly smooth and melts in your mouth. It has a caramel layer on top and a matcha sauce at the bottom, which perfectly balances the richness of the ramen broth. Itโ€™s a must-try! ๐Ÿฎ ๐ŸŒŠ When paying, you take your card to the counter outside. Interestingly, they donโ€™t accept tips, only sales tax. I spent $49 on my meal, and it was totally worth it! ๐Ÿ’ธ ๐Ÿ“Œ 132 W 31st St, New York, NY 10001 #NewYork #NYCDining #RamenLovers ๐ŸŒ†
