New York Dining Adventure: Nougatine by Jean-Georges ๐
๐ฅฉ Main Courses ๐ Roasted Salmon The salmon is perfectly crispy on the outside, with tender meat inside. The corn chowder and sweet corn are delicious and not at all greasy. However, I got a bit of a surprise when I took my first biteโit was quite hot! Itโs the first time Iโve been burned by Western cuisine. ๐ ๐Organic Roast Chicken This dish is absolutely delicious! The chicken skin is crispy and fragrant. The accompanying green sauce has a hint of cumin, giving the dish a unique, almost Chinese-inspired flavor (which might be why I loved it so much ๐). It feels like a refreshing fried chicken. The chicken skin is dry, fragrant, and crispy, while the meat is juicy and full of flavor. The sauce is savory and rich, and with two large pieces of chicken, youโll definitely feel satisfied. ๐ ๐ฎ Desserts ๐ฎ Chocolate Lava Cake ๐The cake itself is excellent, not too sweet. Although I felt that eating hot lava cake in the summer was a bit heavy, itโs still a delicious dessert when you think about it. The accompanying salted caramel ice cream is quite sweet. ๐ฎ Roasted Peaches Despite being labeled as "roasted," the peaches are served cold. Theyโre not very sweet, reminiscent of canned yellow peaches, and paired with raspberries, they offer a refreshing, sweet-and-sour flavor. ๐ ๐ Overall, all the dishes are exceptional. The sauces are light and refreshing, leaving no greasy aftertaste. The appetizers and main courses are well-matched, and the desserts are just the right level of sweetness for Asian palates (especially if you skip the ice cream). This is a very sincere Restaurant Week offering. ๐ #NewYork #NYCRestaurantWeek #Michelin ๐
