New York Exploration | Shabu-Tatsu Sukiyaki in the East Village(1)

πŸ“ East Village, New York πŸ’° Average Cost: Around $50 per person Shabu-Tatsu has appeared on my Xiaohongshu feed so many times that it feels like a must-try when visiting the East Village. πŸŒ…I've recently become obsessed with sukiyaki, and I wanted to compare Shabu-Tatsu with Momokawa, so I decided to give Shabu-Tatsu a try first. On the day, I walked in around 7:40 PM without a reservation. Maybe because it was a weekday, there were still seats available. πŸ“Œ Overall, Shabu-Tatsu's sukiyaki broth has a very light sweetness, almost like boiling meat in plain water. Personally, I didn't enjoy it much (though the vegetables were delicious). I might not go back unless a friend really wants to. πŸŒ…In comparison, the sukiyaki in Shanghai is super sweet and makes you want to drink a lot of water. It would be nice if the two could find a balance. I'll check out Momokawa when I have the chance. #NewYork πŸŒ‡πŸŒŸ
