🥩 New York Food | A Slightly Disappointing Turkish Kebab Brunch (1)
Met up with a buddy at a Turkish restaurant that had a ton of good reviews, but it was a bit of a letdown... 🍃🌸 Just goes to show—when a lesser-known place has all positive reviews, it might just mean no one's bothering to write the bad ones. After all, not many people are as responsible as I am when it comes to writing honest critiques. 🤣 📍 NAR Modern Turkish Cuisine The ambiance of the restaurant is indeed quite nice, with a sweet, Instagrammable vibe, featuring macaron colors and exquisite plating that looks great in photos. But hey, isn't the soul of a restaurant supposed to be the food? 🍔 ❌ We ordered kebab and grilled fish. The overall seasoning was quite heavy, and by the end, all we could taste was saltiness. The kebab was just average, so ordinary that it could almost be classified as "not good." The meat was made from processed minced meat, neither fresh nor well-cooked—it was overdone and dry. Combined with a bunch of spices and beans, the flavor was so intense it made us question life. 🍃🌸 The portion size was also on the smaller side, even someone with a small appetite would still feel unsatisfied. #NewYork 🍖🌟
