New York Food | I found a Lan Ping replacement at LIC!
When I walked in and saw mostly non-Asian faces, I’ll admit I got a little worried 😅 But wow—turns out it’s surprisingly delicious! In the LIC “food competition,” I’d even say it beats Vert Frais and Sansan! 🌟 Signature Tonkotsu Ramen (TORONIKU) 【Noodles】They’re just like Ichiran’s! Thin, straight, and slightly firm—perfect texture, not too soft or hard 👌 【Broth】The tonkotsu broth is creamy and milky with a hint of smokiness—so rich and satisfying! 【Meat】The pork is so different—it’s thick, strip-shaped, and super tender. Such a nice texture, like melting in your mouth! 🌟 Duck Soup Ramen (SHOYU) 【Noodles】Totally different from the first bowl—these are curly and round! Fun texture change 😊 【Broth】The duck broth is unbelievably fragrant! It has way more depth than the usual shoyu (soy sauce) broth—so unique and addictive! 【Meat】The pork slices on top are seared, which adds this amazing charred aroma—chef’s kiss! All in all, both ramens have different noodles but are equally delicious! The best part? Each bowl is under $20—total Ichiran dupe, no doubt 💰 I only tried the croquettes for appetizer, and they were pretty average—nothing special to write home about 😐 ⛳️ Ramen Spot 45-12 23rd St, Queens, NY 11101 #NewYork #NYC #NewYorkFoodGuide #MyFoodDiary #NYCEats #LICFood #NYCLIC #LIC #NYCRamen #NYCFood #NYCJapaneseFood
