New York Food | Nanyang-style Duck Curry – So Good It's Blazing!
This restaurant specializes in ✨Nyonya cuisine✨—a delicious fusion of Malaysian, Singaporean, Indonesian, and Chinese flavors! It was my first time trying it, and I instantly fell in love! 🥰 🌟 Duck Curry I’m obsessed with this dish! The duck is tender and flavorful, and the curry is rich with creamy coconut aroma—yet it never overpowers the duck’s taste. It’s so good with rice! Pair it with the crispy fried potato chips on the side, and it’s absolute perfection. We even finished the entire bowl of curry (check pic 11)—that should tell you how amazing it is! Rice bowl rating (how much we devoured): 🍚🍚🍚🍚🍚 🌟 Prawn Curry This curry is bold and slightly spicy—just right! The prawns are plump and bouncy, and the heads are fried to a crunchy crisp! The rich prawn roe inside is so fragrant—another total rice-stuffer! Rice bowl rating: 🍚🍚🍚🍚🥢 🌟 Grilled Quail The quail is incredibly fragrant! Crispy skin, juicy meat—paired with the special sauce (a coconutty, curry-infused one), it’s mind-blowing. The mango salad on the side is the perfect touch—so fresh! Rice bowl rating: 🍚🍚🍚🍚🥢 🌟 Scallop & Mango Salad The mango salad is crisp and refreshing, with a slightly spicy dressing—super appetizing! Just don’t judge the raw scallops by Japanese restaurant standards, and you’ll love it. Rice bowl rating: 🍚🍚🍚 💚 Pandan Cocktail 🍸 I adore pandan, and this cocktail is so Southeast Asian in the best way! The initial sip is sweet, creamy rum, then the pandan aroma blooms—lingering on your palate with a lovely aftertaste. Please order this—it’s a must! Rice bowl rating: 🍚🍚🍚🍚🍚 ✏️ Tip If you order the quail, you don’t need the mango salad separately—we missed that and ended up with double mango salad 🥲 Try other appetizers instead!
