New York Food Adventures 🍔

Take31🎢🍃 On a snowy day in New York, my girls and I decided to warm up with some Korean comfort food. Take31 was the perfect choice! The bowls were so comforting and filling, and the flavors were just right—no need to go on a water hunt after the meal. 🥢 Tosokchon This place is a Korean comfort food haven! The beef tendon is so tender, almost like a Cantonese-style blanched dish. It’s perfect for a cozy meal with friends. 🍖 🎢🍃 Ai Fiori The ambiance here is top-notch, but the food felt a bit too generic. The flavors were uniform, and the plating seemed more business-like. It felt like they’ve let their standards slip a bit since losing a star. 🍽️ Mt. ShooTao Hot Pot My first hot pot in New York after two years, and it was a delightful surprise! The broth was just right—neither too spicy nor too salty. There were plenty of options, and the beef tendon was a standout. 🍲 🎢🍃 Other places I forgot to snap photos of: Osamil Upstairs: A completely different vibe from the first floor—elegant and refined. It’s not easy to get a reservation, but it’s worth it for the great drinks. 🥂 Barbam: This place has some strong, Asian-inspired flavors. It’s a unique experience for sure. 🍸 MUI: It feels like Hongdae in Seoul! My friends have raved about the spicy chicken wings—definitely worth a try. 🍖🌶️ 🎢🍃 And then there was that one underground spot that was a total miss. I took my Canadian friend there, and we both struggled to enjoy the meal. I can’t remember the name now, but I’ll update when I recall! 🤔 #NewYorkLife #NewYorkFoodie 🌃🌟
