New York Food Chronicles π
House of Joy: The dim sum spot in Chinatown that always has a line. The red rice wasn't very crispy and felt a bit greasy, but the taro dumplings and watercress dumplings were definitely worth it! β Yongchuan: The ambiance here is a big plus. With an average cost of π°60-70 per person, the dishes are all top-notch. β Must-try: the appetizer platter, home-cooked yellow croaker, and stir-fried eel. (On the side, I had a pineapple char siu bun from Maxim'sβso delicious for just $3!) π Sushi W: β A $70 omakase experience with a fun interactive game in the middle. The ingredients are super fresh. I want to keep this place a secret, or I won't be able to get a reservation next time! π£ Raku: When it's cold, some hot udon sounds perfect. But the snow crab (Japanese-style noodle soup?) and pot-burned seafood (sweet and salty) I tried this time didn't quite hit the spot. β I'd recommend the tempura shrimp instead. π€ Dante: This place is said to be a former world-class bar. The seasonal pear negroni and classic honey bee are both foolproof sweet drinks. β For food, I recommend the lemon pistachio pesto pasta. (I'll definitely be back to try more drinks!) πΈ P Mrytle Thai: A highly-rated Thai restaurant in BK. The duck curry was a bit dry, but the salted egg yolk seafood (a bit salty) and boat noodles were great. β Showing my CUID at dinner got me a 10% discount! π #NewYork #NYCEats π
