New York Food Diary | OZAKAYA: A Disappointing Experience ๐
We went to OZAKAYA for the highly recommended tuna and sea urchin bowl, which looked really tempting in the photos. ๐คฎOn a whim, my friend and I decided to give it a try on a Saturday. We made a reservation for dinner, but surprisingly, there were still many empty seats when we arrived. ๐ ๐The first item on the menu was also sea urchin, but in reality, there was only a tiny bit of it. Most of the dish was tuna fish paste, which didn't quite match the photos from other food bloggers. ๐คฎThe ingredients were still pretty fresh, but the service was pretty bad, probably because they were too busy. For example, we ordered sparkling water, but it took a while to arrive, and it was taken away before we even had a chance to use the hand towel. ๐ ๐ The sashimi wasn't very fresh, and the cutting was pretty rough. The dish had a decent appearance and smell, but that's about it. The creamy udon was just too rich, especially with the addition of bacon. It was overwhelmingly greasy. ๐คฎ ๐คฎ The cheesecake at the end was a pre-made one, and overall, I wouldn't really recommend this place. ๐ #NewYorkExploration
