New York Foodie | Michelin-Recommended Thai Restaurant (1)🌟
Before heading to a show, we found a nearby restaurant recommended by the Michelin Guide: “One of the first questions a server here will ask is whether you like spicy food. Answer truthfully because this Thai kitchen does not hold back when it comes to those fiery chilies, which seem to find their way into every corner of the menu...” 🔥 In short: This is not Americanized Thai food—it’s the real deal with authentic Thai spice! 🔥 Order Details: ✨ Appetizers Oysters —— During the 4-7pm Happy Hour, a half-dozen for just $9! What a steal! 🦪 The toppings include lemongrass, chili sauce, mint, shallots, and crispy fried onions, creating a super refreshing and tangy flavor that’s absolutely addictive! 🔥Beef Tongue —— Marinated and grilled, then drizzled with Thai chili, raw garlic, and cilantro. The seasoning was good, but either the cooking or the preparation wasn’t perfect, as there were noticeable tendons, making it a bit tough and less tender than expected. A small disappointment. Gai Tod —— Hat Yai-style fried chicken from Southern Thailand, marinated in soy sauce, pepper, and garlic, and topped with crispy fried onions. It felt fresh and exciting for American palates, but while it was good, it didn’t blow me away as someone accustomed to Asian flavors. #NewYork
