New York Genesis House | Chelsea Riverside Korean Tea House 🌉
🍃At Genesis House by the beautiful Little Island view in Chelsea, the downstairs is an impressive Genesis showroom, while the restaurant is upstairs. The decor is elegant and bright, and the fragrance in the elevator reminded me of the Ritz back home. 🌟 🏙️ A few friends and I ordered the lunch $62/3-course menu, with 2-3 options for each course: appetizer, main, and dessert. We each chose different options, so we had a mix of hits and misses, but we managed to piece together a complete meal without any bad dishes. 🌊🎢 This place is pretty famous for its Korean fruit teas, with lots of choices. We tried plum blossom, lotus root, and barley teas, and the lotus root tea was our favorite. The downside was that the $17 tea came in just a tiny pot and couldn’t be refilled. 😅 🌸 Appetizers: 🌟 YUKHOE: This is like beef tartare, one of the better appetizers. It’s topped with crispy nori and garlic kimchi, which adds a nice crunch, and oyster cream for a fresh flavor. 🤔 Mul Hwe : The sashimi was quite bland, probably kanpachi. The pink sauce had a citrusy and fermented kimchi flavor. 🍣 #GenesisHouse #ChelseaRiverside #KoreanTea
