New York Grand Central Terminal
New York Grand Central Terminal, located in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, is one of the largest and busiest transportation buildings in the world. π πΏ It officially opened on February 2, 1913. Since its inception, it has been a renowned New York City landmark and one of the significant symbols of the United States, representing the prosperity and vitality of New York (the bustling Manhattan is outside the station, as shown in figure 18). This century-old building has also been the filming location for many movies and TV shows, such as "Gossip Girl." π πΏ It is a typical Beaux Arts-style building, with the Greek-inspired sculptural group at the top of the facade being of great artistic value. Both the design and carving are the work of masters. The overall architecture of the station is highly artistic and can be regarded as a public art museum. π πΏ Its architectural style, sculptures, murals, and other elements all reflect the artistic standards of the time. ππ #NewYork π πΏ
