New York Grandpa Thai 🌟
The Thai tea is just okay – nothing special. But the honey lemon tea is a total letdown. It’s nothing like the gradient-colored glass shown in the picture. Instead, you get a tiny stainless steel cup with honey, two slices of lemon, and hot water. 🌟 Again, this is something I could easily make at home with zero effort. They didn’t even stir it (or give me a spoon to do it myself), so the first few sips were super sour, and the last few were way too sweet. Each sip tasted completely different. 🍵 🙋♂️ The service is pretty average. There’s no menu – you have to scan a code with your phone to see the options (which is pretty standard now). You pour your own water from the bottle on the table, and if you need anything, you have to wave to get someone’s attention. But at least there’s no long wait – someone will come over right away when you signal. 🙋♂️ 🌟 There are so many amazing Thai restaurants in New York. There’s really no need to come here. I used to complain that the fish cheeks weren’t good enough, but now I realize that without comparison, you don’t know what you’re missing. 🍖 🙋♂️ #InternationalStudentEats #ThaiFood #NYUEats 🌇
