New York Hidden Gem: The Driver's Diner (1)π
In the Lower East Side of New York, I stumbled upon an incredibly authentic driver's diner! It felt like stepping right into the world of "Reply 1988." The menu is simple, which is a blessing for anyone with decision fatigue! π½οΈ ποΈ As soon as you walk in, vintage fans and old TVs transport you back to the 1980s. "Kisa," meaning driver's diner, is a concept that started in π°π· Korea in the 80s, offering taxi drivers quick, satisfying, and hearty meals. The focus here is on authenticity and generous portions! π° π We ordered two sets, each for $32, and left completely full. The food is served on retro stainless steel trays, surrounded by a variety of side dishes. It's a feast! π Even the picky southerner was happily digging in. This place, focused on a few well-made dishes, won his heart. The lunch menu is different, and it's already on our list for a return visit! π³ π’ Spicy Squid Stir-Fry Set πΈ The squid is perfectly chewy and flavorful, cooked just right. The sweet and spicy sauce is incredibly addictive! The portion is generous, making it a satisfying meal. π¦ #NewYork π
