New York Hyatt Centric Midtown 5th Avenue: What to Expect ๐จ๐
๐ฝThe Hyatt Centric Midtown 5th Avenue on Fifth Avenue is not exactly a budget pick. The lowest price was over 2000 RMB, and during my stay in early December, likely due to the holiday season, a standard single room soared to over 5000 RMB. Fortunately, my company arranged and covered the cost. ๐ ๐ฝBefore arriving, I had high hopes. After all, this price isn't cheap anywhere in the world. Centric isn't marketed as Hyatt's budget brand but rather as stylish or trendy. Reviews from Japan and other locations seemed to support a higher-end positioning. In hindsight, I was naive, underestimating just how expensive Manhattan and Times Square can be. ๐ฝ Pros: Proximity to Times Square: It's relatively close to the action. ๐ฝ Cons: Not as Close as It Seems: The lobby is incredibly small, more reminiscent of a boutique hotel or even a hostel. The rooms felt on par with a Comfort Inn or a domestic HanTing. At under 2000 RMB, I'd have no complaints, but between 2000-5000 RMB, it feels quite overpriced. ๐ฝDuring check-in, I was informed that housekeeping needed to be requested through the front desk, giving off more of a hostel vibe. ๐ค Why are there so few photos? Simply put, there wasn't much worth capturing. The first photo shows the view from my room's window. ๐ธ #NewYorkHotels #HyattCentric ๐ฝ๐
