New York Japanese Cuisine | Yakitori Totto (1)π
πΈI went to Midtown to take care of some errands and managed to get everything I needed. ποΈ I walked a whopping 19,000 stepsβit was super efficient! As a reward for my hard work, I decided to treat myself to some yakitori at Yakitori Totto in the evening. π π When I walked in, I was given a corner bar seat. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate, with a bustling energy that made the place feel even more special. π I last visited Yakitori Totto in the winter of the year before last. I came from Boston to meet up with N for a date. It was so cold that it kind of blurred my memories and senses. After we ate, I didnβt really have any strong impressions left. This time, as I climbed the stairs and peeked into the somewhat cramped interior, the familiar feeling finally hit me. I remembered that I had been here before. π π Tonight, I went keto and skipped the carbs. I ordered the cold tofu as an appetizer and way too many skewers. I was so full that I didnβt even have room for the tea-soaked rice I wanted to try. π± At Yakitori Totto, you can choose between salt-grilled skewers, which highlight the natural flavors of the ingredients, and those brushed with a savory-sweet sauce. I personally prefer the simplicity of salt-grilled skewers, as they let the true flavors of the food shine through. Most of the skewers I ordered tonight were salt-grilled, and they were perfect. π π’ #JapaneseYakitori #NewYorkYakitori #YakitoriTotto π
