New York Kaiseki Dining Hakubai ๐ŸŒŸ

Hakubai is located on the first basement floor of The Prince Kitano building. The dining space is quite spacious, featuring a bar and a dining area. The overall vibe is classic Japanese style. This time, I came with friends to celebrate a birthday and chose to sit at the bar. ๐ŸŒŸ When we first arrived, the restaurant was pretty empty. The chef, upon hearing that we were there for a birthday celebration, warmly offered his congratulations and chatted with us for a while. He was such a kind and approachable older gentleman! The most memorable dish was the otsukuri | sashimi. The scallop was particularly amazingโ€”very fresh and sweet. The other slices of sashimi were equally fresh, making for a truly satisfying experience. ๐Ÿฃ ๐Ÿ“ And finally, I got to try the strawberry cake I had been craving for so long. ๐Ÿฐ It was just the right amount of sweetness, not too rich, and perfect for my taste buds. If I hadn't been so full from the earlier courses, I would have ordered a few more slices. ๐Ÿฅน When the cake arrived, the chef even attached a chocolate plaque with a congratulatory message and thoughtfully provided a candle. ๐ŸŒŸ The staff and chef clapped and sang the birthday song together, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The whole experience was truly delightful! I will definitely be back! ๐Ÿ“ Address: 66 Park Ave, New York, NY 10016, United States #NewYorkJapanese #KaisekiDining ๐ŸŒ‡๐ŸŒŸ
