New York L’americana 🌟
I have a sneaking suspicion that Martiny’s waitlist is quietly sending a steady stream of customers our way (like us)! It’s the perfect spot for a pre-bar-hop warm-up with some delightful little aperitifs. 🥂 • Restaurant Aperitifs 🥂 Tomiño Taberna Gallega: This place is a hidden gem! The food is delicious and the drinks are even better. 😋 Perfect for a cozy evening or a quick bite before heading out. Their small plates are just the right size to share and enjoy without feeling too full. 🍽️ Portale’s Negroni: They’ve taken the classic Negroni and given it a playful twist by using Monkey 47 gin, so they’ve cheekily named it the “Maserati.” 🚗 How cool is that? It’s like they’re giving a shoutout to both the cocktail’s sophistication and the gin’s unique flavor profile. Definitely worth a try if you’re a fan of classic cocktails with a modern twist! Nemesis: This cocktail combines all the elements I love—gin, citrus, and a hint of herbal notes—but unfortunately, it’s just as underwhelming as their dishes. 🥂 Maybe it’s just one of those nights where the stars didn’t align, or maybe the kitchen and bar just weren’t on the same page. 🥃 I’m hoping next time will be different because the ingredients alone should make it amazing! Overall, L’americana is a charming spot with a lot of potential. While some things hit the mark, others leave a bit to be desired. 🥂 But that’s part of the fun of exploring new places—discovering what works and what doesn’t. Can’t wait to see how they evolve! 🌇🌟 #NewYork #CocktailAdventures #FoodieFun 🥂🌟
