New York La Cabra 🥪

Today, I want to share a super-popular bakery in the East Village area! La Cabra Bakery 📍 152 2nd Ave, New York, NY 10003 🌸This place is right next to the gourd-shaped building, close to places like Chuan Shan Jia. It’s been an internet-famous spot for a while! 🌟 I’ve been here twice before, but neither visit left a particularly deep impression on me. It was last night, right before bedtime, when I had an intense craving for freshly baked, soft sourdough toast that I remembered this place. 🥪 🌊 On my third visit, I tried their most popular items again: the cinnamon bun, rye tart, and the sourdough bread I’ve been craving. Let’s start with the sourdough! It’s really delicious! I must not have tried this specific loaf last time. The freshly baked bread has a visibly perfect crumb structure—soft and chewy, with a nice pull when you tear it, but it still breaks cleanly. 🏙️The crust is crispy on the outside, while the interior is super soft. Eating it plain is already such an indulgence! Highly recommended! Even on the second day, it’s still pretty good. Just pop it in the oven for a bit, and it’s delicious, though nothing beats that fresh-out-of-the-oven experience! 🥪 🎢 The cinnamon bun is generously sugared, and it definitely delivers on the flavor—it’s a true carb bomb! 😄 The rye tart is also fantastic! The vanilla mousse on top is cool and refreshing, paired with a crispy tart shell and the satisfying crunch of oats. Add a cup of cold brew, and life is just perfect! ☕ 🍃 Overall, my visit to La Cabra exceeded my expectations this time. No wonder so many people line up! I’ll definitely be back to get more of their sourdough bread. 🥪 #NewYork #BakeryLove #SourdoughObsession 🌟
