🌸Today, I want to share a super popular bakery that you should definitely avoid! Lafayette Grand Café & Bakery 📍 380 Lafayette St, New York, NY 10003 🍃This place is famous for its wheel-shaped croissants, which are incredibly popular. Normally, you’d have to wait in line for over an hour to get one. 🌺One weekday, I passed by and saw that the line wasn’t too long, so I decided to give it a try. When I went inside, I was excited to see a bunch of wheel croissants on display. 🍃I thought I’d be able to grab one without too much trouble. But guess what? The staff took the croissant tray to the basement and then told us they were sold out! They said to come back later if we wanted to try again. I was so frustrated! This kind of scarcity marketing is just not cool. 😡😡😡 🎢 Although their walnut cranberry bread is pretty good, you can find something just as delicious at Whole Foods! There’s really no need to go through all this hassle. Plus, I’ve seen pistachio wheel croissants at another bakery near Midtown, and they taste just as good, if not better! 🍃 Big warning: I will absolutely never go back there again! ❌ #NewYork 🍔🌟
