New York Long Island | High-Value Portuguese Restaurant: Lisbon Cafe
🌺Mom recommended her favorite Portuguese restaurant, Lisbon Cafe, for our family dinner 🌟. She had been to the one in Jericho and raved about the seafood rice and fruit wine. She was thrilled to find out that there’s one in Mineola, which is conveniently close to home 🏠. The Mineola branch doesn’t require reservations, and since we arrived at 5:30 pm on a weekday, the restaurant was almost empty 🌇. 🌺It started to fill up halfway through our meal. The decor has a charming vintage nautical theme, and even the restrooms are cozy. The copper statue at the entrance is pretty cool, with the bar on the left and the dining area on the right. The staff were super nice, and they even gave us a small glass of red wine to try after the meal (it was a bit sweet, but still nice). 🌺The signature seafood rice is highly recommended 🌟🌟🌟🌟! It has a rich flavor, although I thought it was a tad salty. But it’s great for dipping bread. The mussels are also fantastic 🌟🌟🌟🌟! Unlike many others that can be bland or just salty, these have a rich and flavorful taste. I really enjoyed them 🌺. #NewYork 🌃
