New York Manhattan: Traditional vs. Trendy Thai Cuisine Showdown ๐ŸŒŸ

Who Reigns Supreme? ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒŸMaybe I was a Southeast Asian in a past life,'cause I crave Thai food wherever I go! ๐Ÿ˜‚ After scouring all the guides,I picked the traditional Thai Villaand the trendy new-kid-on-the-block, Thep Thai. Thai Villa is close to the Empire State Building, and it lives up to its nameโ€”like a golden palace! ๐Ÿฐ The lighting is on point, making the dishes look stunning.๐Ÿ‘Œ Since it was lunch,I ordered the red curry crispy duck and pineapple fried rice set, plus the complimentary spring rolls and vegetable soup. For just $60, I was super full! ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒŸ The red curry crispy duck is quite rich, perfect with rice. For those who don't like rice, try the mildly spicy options. The pineapple shrimp fried rice was pretty standard, but the shrimp were huge! ๐Ÿ ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒŸ Their coconut water is also a hit, served in fresh coconuts, sweet and refreshing. ๐Ÿฅฅ Thep Thai is near the MET,a trendy Thai spot with great reviews. I tried the purple dumplings (forgot the name),with a slightly sweet wrapper, filled with peanuts and veggiesโ€”delicious! The Tom Kha soup was just okay, the pineapple fried rice was a bit too salty, and the beef in the curry was a bit tough, but the flavors were still decent. Four dishes cost close to $100,and we couldn't finish it allโ€”the beef went back to the hotel almost untouched. ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒŸ Overall, Thai Villa wins in taste. If youโ€™re curious, give it a try! ๐Ÿ˜Š #NewYorkFoodie #WhatToEatInNYC ๐ŸŒƒ๐ŸŒŸ
