New York Never Thought Corn Could Be This Good 🌽

Finally got to check out this Japanese restaurant that I’ve been wanting to try for a long time! Heard it was hard to get a reservation before, but it seems better now. However, walk-ins still have to wait. Corn rib 🌽 The corn is covered with cheese powder 🧀 and I love it! But it’s a bit tricky to eat; biting into those corn kernels is a challenge. It’s hard to eat elegantly, more like gnashing your teeth. Might want to consider this if it’s your first date, haha 😄 Toro Uni Shari 🍣 A bit of rice topped with tuna and sea urchin, wrapped in seaweed for a perfect bite! Mackerel Sushi 🍣 Mackerel sushi! My friend found it a bit fishy, but I really enjoyed it. A must-order if you’re not afraid of fishiness or if you love mackerel! Tenderloin! 🍗 Pork cutlet. I wasn’t planning to order it, thinking all pork cutlets are pretty much the same. But it was super surprising and delicious! So good I wanted to order another plate!! Definitely a must-try surprise hit! Mazemen 🍜 Japanese-style oil-splashed noodles. It was pretty good but a bit oily. Konban Corn Ice Cream 🍨 The corn ice cream in the last picture! So unique, it looks and tastes just like corn. The shell is hard, and inside is the ice cream. Delicious and recommended! It’s a Japanese restaurant I’d visit again! The portions are small and the menu isn’t very extensive, but every dish is a hit! The complimentary yuzu sparkling drink was also very tasty. Average cost: $50 #NewYork #NewYorkLife #NewYorkFoodExploration #TreasureRestaurantShare #FoodDiary #Japanese #Izakaya #Corn #PorkCutlet #Konban
