New York Night Tour at Washington Square Park (2)š
The fountain in the park has become one of the most famous attractions in New York City š, visited by both local residents and tourists. š¢ Most of the buildings around the park belong to New York University š, some of which were built by the university itself, while others were later converted for teaching and residential use. New York University often rents Washington Square Park for its graduation ceremonies š, with the arch as the main symbol, and the university hopes that the park can become the center of its campus. š As early as 1922, the university predicted that it would take over the entire park for its own use, but this did not come true. Local residents consider the park to be the most important place in the surrounding community, so they have launched several large-scale activities to preserve it. š³ š¢ The park is located at the end of Fifth Avenue š, with its northern boundary being Waverly Place to the east and the park to the west; its eastern boundary being University Place to the north; its southern boundary being West 4th Street to the east and the park to the west; and its southern boundary being MacDougal Street to the north and the park to the south. š #USA š #NewYork š #NewYorkUniversity š #Arch šļø
