New York Omakase ๐
Joji ๐ Opened by the former sous-chef of Masa, this place is a must-try! ๐ I added Wagyu beef and truffles to the regular menu, and the ingredients were simply outstandingโno complaints here! ๐ฟ The fried fish in the appetizer section was a highlight, crispy and flavorful. The nigiri section included 12 pieces, making it a full 28-course experience. For girls with smaller appetites, I strongly recommend coming here after fasting for three days! ๐ Uchu ๐ฆ A true two-Michelin-starred gem, famous for its uni macaronโa classic among classics! ๐ Unfortunately, it closed in 2022, but Ichimura hosts a Japanese pop-up at Little Bee every Monday. Iโve heard the chef is preparing to open a new restaurant this year, and Iโm super excited! ๐ Hirohisa ๐ฃ Hidden in Soho, this one-Michelin-starred restaurant is a great lunch spot with amazing value! ๐ฑ The donburi dishes are all delicious, and the uni soba offered at lunch is like a bowl of uni bombโso rich and flavorful! ๐ For dinner, I sat at the counter and enjoyed a simple kaiseki meal, which was pleasant but not particularly memorable. ๐ Odo ๐ต A one-Michelin-starred restaurant specializing in kaiseki lunch. The six-course menu is small but exquisite. Itโs not the kind of food that makes you clap in delight, but it feels comfortable and balanced, with a light and refreshing taste overall. ๐บ #NewYorkJapanese #NewYorkOmakase ๐
