New York Oncheon: Korean Hot Pot 🍲
This time, the three of us went to Oncheon, and the ambiance was quite nice. 🌟 🍃 Since the restaurant has a rule that everyone must order a small hot pot or a set meal, we got a sukiyaki hot pot, a doenjang (soybean paste) hot pot, a Basa fish over rice set, and a crispy beef fritter appetizer. We also added two more servings of beef. The set meals and appetizers were pretty good. 🎢 The hot pots themselves were pretty standard—just the usual sukiyaki and doenjang flavors, without any standout highlights. The meat was sliced too thin, making it prone to falling apart once cooked. For three people, the total cost came to around $60 per person. 🌊 If you’re planning to visit, I heard that the weekday lunch sets offer better value for money. We came for a weekend lunch, and overall, it was just okay—didn’t quite reach the level of “definitely coming back again.” 🌸 #NewYorkLife #NYCExploration #NYCWeekend 🗽🌟
