New York Piccola Cucina Estiatorio 🍝
An Italian restaurant near SOHO with a Sicilian flair Piccola Cucina Estiatorio 📍 75 Thompson St, New York, NY 10012 🍃 Piccola Cucina has several locations in New York. The most famous one is probably the uptown branch, which is known for its freshly made tiramisu. I originally planned to go there, but they were fully booked for the night, so I ended up at this SOHO location. 🌟 🎢 The styles of the two restaurants are quite different. The uptown one is more classic Italian, while this one has a maritime vibe with plenty of seafood dishes. Squid with avocado mash and crispy crackers. The flavors are very light, but you can tell the squid is fresh. 🦑 🌊 Crab cake. This is delicious! The crispy exterior gives way to juicy crab meat. The standout of this dish is the sauce on the side. I can't quite remember the exact taste, but it's definitely a surprise with every bite. We ordered two types of pasta: one was a traditional Bolognese and the other was lobster pasta. I think the traditional one was better. The noodles were just the right width to hold the sauce well. 🌸The lobster pasta was a bit salty, and the noodles were too wide, making the center a bit undercooked (I personally like al dente pasta, but this was on the edge of being underdone). In summary, the food here is pretty good. I'd like to visit the uptown branch when I get the chance. #NewYork 🌃🌟
