New York Ramen: The Best I've Tried 🍜
When it comes to ramen in New York, there’s one place that always stands out for me! 🌟 Most of us from the north are probably walking carb lovers, right? Growing up, I’ve always loved all kinds of noodles, and ramen is no exception. Back in college, I wanted to try every ramen place in New York, but my metabolism just wouldn’t allow it. 😄 I’ve tried a few ramen shops, but there’s only one I keep coming back to: 📍 Tonchin 13 W 36 St, New York, NY 10018 Tokyo Tonkatsu Ramen 🍜 (Recommended) This has the best tonkatsu broth I’ve had in any New York ramen shop. If you have other recommendations, please let me know! 🙋🏻 My personal taste isn’t too heavy, and their broth isn’t overly salty. It doesn’t leave me feeling thirsty afterward. There was a period when the broth was a bit too salty, but it’s back to normal now. The pork isn’t as fragrant and thick as it used to be, though. Spicy Tan Tan Ramen 🍜 (Recommended) If you love spicy food, this is a must-order! It’s incredibly flavorful with a rich broth and a kick from the spicy sauce. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. Original Tsukemen 🍜 (Worth a Try) A friend ordered the dipping noodles. I don’t remember if they had this a few years ago—it might be a newer item. Surprisingly delicious! The noodles are generous, and the broth is a garlic-infused tonkatsu. One word: fragrant. Mango Kaki-Gori 🍧 (Must-Try) This shaved ice is one of the best in New York! Definitely go for the mango flavor, especially in the summer. It’s incredibly refreshing. The real star here is their cream—it’s slightly sweet and never cloying. You’ll want to add extra cream every time! I also tried their chicken wings, but they were just okay. #NewYorkRamen #NewYorkFood 🌇
