New York Ramen - Raku π
Alright, this isn't actually ramen but udon (I just wanted to keep writing about ramen π₯’). Raku is truly famous! Even on a Wednesday at noon, there was a line. At around 12:05, there were already about 10 people waiting π. By the time it was my turn, the place was packed, and I was told to come back in half an hour π . Their famous udon has lots of options. I ordered the beef curry udon π. The first bite almost scalded my tongue before I could even taste it! It was very, very hot π₯. The beef was sliced thin, like the kind you find in hot pot π². The curry broth wasn't thick, but it had a strong flavor π. The udon noodles were super chewy and bouncy, unlike any I've had elsewhere. Honestly, I just remember how delicious the noodles were π₯’. When I checked out, they gave me frozen grapes (everyone got them). Was it to soothe my scalded tongue? π After I left, I noticed the line had disappeared. If you want to try it, maybe go around 1 pm when it's less crowded π°οΈ. #nyc #nycrestaurant #udon ππ
