New York Restaurant | Hortus NYC 🌱
Fruit Salad 🍑 The fruits were super sweet! But adding a few drops of spicy oil was a bit puzzling (maybe that’s the fusion touch?). Mochi Pancake 🥞 It had a slightly chewy texture compared to regular American pancakes, and it came with sweet cream and kimchi sauce (fusion again!). 🌟 Poached Egg (Korean Style) 🍳 A soft-boiled egg with a potato cake — one bite and you’re full! Prime Meatball Sandwich 🥪 The meatballs were the size of two fists, and while delicious, they got a bit greasy towards the end. King Crab Noodle 🦀 There was only a little bit of crab meat. The crab and noodles were separate, and the noodles had a spicy oil flavor, which felt a bit odd. 🌟 The concept and creativity are clearly well-thought-out, but the fusion of flavors can be a bit awkward. Each dish tries to include everything: sweet and salty, sweet and spicy, even a mix of meat and vegetables. It’s a bit overwhelming. I don’t mean to criticize Hortus. The portions are generous and satisfying, and it’s a great business-friendly restaurant that’s easy to book. It’s saved me during last-minute dinner plans. Located in Midtown, I’ve visited twice and had a good experience both times. ✔️ 🌿 The dishes with black truffle were absolutely amazing! 😍 📍 Hortus NYC 271 5th Ave Store, New York, NY 10016 #NewYorkLife #NYCExploration 🌇
