New York Restaurant Exploration | Bad Roman
Bad Roman: Bread Is 100x Better Than Pasta 🍞 Bad Roman is the sister restaurant of Don Angie. When I first passed by Columbus Circle and saw it, I had no idea it would become such an internet sensation. I just thought, “Wow, it’s so close to home; I’ll come by sometime...” And then, nothing. Booking a table here is as tough as at Don Angie—I seriously regret not trying it sooner. But yesterday, I finally got the chance to check it out. 🌟 🎢 To be honest, I’m not a fan of the overall decor and color scheme—it feels a bit like an American diner. But some people really like it, so it’s all about personal preference. 🍔 🍃When it comes to the food, their bread is truly exceptional! The Black Truffle Honey Ricotta with bread is just amazing (isn’t this better than the one at Misi?). The Garlic Babka is also fantastic—I was pleasantly surprised by the savory version. These two are absolute must-orders! 🥪 As for the pasta, the Short Rib Pappardelle has a nice overall flavor but is a bit salty. Unfortunately, the pasta itself isn’t al dente—it’s a bit too soft, which was a bit disappointing. 🌊 The Cappelletti Bistecca is pretty good, with beef-filled dumplings, but it can get a bit greasy if you eat too much. The dessert is great, though—after the pasta, the Tiramisu Ice Cream Cake was surprisingly refreshing! 😄 Overall, it’s a restaurant that shines with its bread. It’s worth a try, but I do think it’s a bit overpriced. 💰 🌸 #RecorderOfRomanticLife #NotebookInspiration 📖✨
